Control background colors of panes

Hi Happy SmartSVN People    The new UI in 7.5 is very nice. I see on Windows the "Files" pane has a very pleasant pastel pink background. On the Mac nice pastel blue/white piano keys in every pane. Does the user have control of the background colors for different panes? Hardly a high-priority request/suggestion - however it's nice to "turn down the brightness" a bit.    Congrats on a Great Product. I use it every day on Mac/Windows/Linux.    Robin

I was looking to post about the fact that the above feature is partially missing in 7.5.  In 7.0, as clanmills said, the Mac version has alternate row colours in every pane, however in 7.5, the colours are only in the main 'Files' pane, and missing from all the others. Bizarrely it seems to make it harder to read the transactions list, which seems busier now! I know it's only a trick of the mind, as it has exactly the same content as before!

Some of my user have asked what the pink background means. Is there a legend for which color maps to which state? I have not been able to find any documentation describing how the background color feature in the files view works.  Thanks for your replies in advance.

Please will WANDisco add a section to the SmartSVN 7.5 Manual to explain what the different background colours mean?  Best regards  David

Hey guys,    These things are in the pdf manual here.    Specifically:  Figure 5.1: Revision states  5.1.3 Read/Unread revisions  SmartSVN internally manages for every repository a list of which revisions are Unread and which revisions have already been Read. This mechanism is similar to how email  clients work: Newly fetched revisions are considered as Unread and hence are displayed with a blue colour.    And:  Merge Coloring  By default, lines are colored by chunks, where coloring changes at forks. When using View Merge Colouring,  SmartSVN will for the currently selected revision (\target") classify (and colour) every other revision into one of the following categories:  Merged Now: The revision has been merged directly at and to the selected target (by default displayed using light green).  Merged: The revision has been merged into the selected target, but not at the target's revision itself (by default displayed using dark green).  Not Yet Merged: The revision has not yet been merged into the selected target (by default displayed using light red).  Not mergable (normal revision): The revision is in the ancestor line of the selected target and hence can't be merged (displayed using black).  Unknown: used when no merge information is present for the selected target (dis-played using grey)

Hi Mand  The second paragraph you refer to is from section 7.7 Revision Graph. I was refering to the colours in the main display window. I guess that the main window colours have similar meanings to those of the Revision graph, but this is not explicitly stated in the manual, as far as I know. BR  David

Hmm, you're right, it seems there isn't an explanation there. I'll find the answer and get it documented.
