file compare has problems with unicode (latin extended) characters

hello,    when i browse through my repository and the hit a file with unicode characters in it, the built-in compare utility shows malformed text and treats them as different files.  however, the files are the same and the file browser shows the state as "Unchanged" too. even after i update the file via smartsvn, the file compare utility shows them as different    the svn storage is a unix server and i am running on a windows machine.    i consider this as a bug, as the files are exactly the same, and the client also tells me so, but the file compare utility treats them as different files  screenshot attached      EDIT: please excuse me for this post, at the time i posted it it wasn't shown (maybe forum cache? admin approval?) and i posted in another topic in the mean time

Hi there,  I have been unable to reproduce what you are seeing with the characters from the image.  I note you have posted in Feb 26th, the day after we released 7.5.4 which including a fix for something of a very similsr description (local/remote state columns remain unchanged, but file comparison shows changes/corrupt characters).  Can you confirm if you have updated to 7.5.4, as it clearly important we resolve any regressions such as this.  Additionally, are you able to provide a sample working copy of when you see this problem? Obviously we don't want your working copy, but it sounds like you can reproduce this easily on a single file in a sample.

thanks, the update helped!    well, it shows the cluttered characters (to the right) instead of actual unicode text (to the left on the screenshot) but at least the file compare shows that the files are the same    i am sending you a sample of the file on the screenshot, so you can see the behavior for yourself    http://www.datafilehost.com/download-9d07e05d.html  the encoding is utf-8
