Checking out just one folder
I have a workspace where I have checkedout a branch from SVN into. The branch has many folders as well as single files. Now what I want is to checkout just one folder. Another words, overwrite the one I already have with one from SVN but of different revision. Is that possible? Thanks
This is possible with the --depth argument. You can see more here: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.6/svn.advanced.sparsedirs.html If you are using a client like TortoiseSVN when you do a checkout the GUI offers setting a depth. Then you can checkout your folder directly with the depth set to only include that folder and no sub-dirs. If you want a specific revision then you need to specify the revision number in the co command. http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.7/svn.ref.svn.html#svn.ref.svn.sw.revision Depth and revision will get you a single directory of a specific rev.
