SmartSVN 64-bit installer?

Hi    Regarding the SmartSVN 64-bit installer: is the difference here just whether 32-bit or 64-bit Java is installed?    Do you see any real benefit in using the 64-bit version?    We have some 32-bit and some 64-bit users. I am wondering whether it is worth the effort of giving people the version based on their o/s type, or whether I should just give everyone the 32-bit version to keep life simple.    Best regards    David

Hi there,  From 8.0.1 onwards the SmartSVN binary itself is 64 bit so will work a bit more quickly, though takes up a bit more memory as a result. If the OS is some flavour of Linux then using the 32 bit binaries on a 64 bit system will require a few 32 bit dependencies installing, glibc being one of them - not sure if that changes things for you.  I'd say it was worth using the 64 bit one if the platform is capable.  Hope that helps.

Sorry, I should have made it clear that we work on Windows. Any comments regarding that use case?

Well, it removes the issues about the 32 bit dependencies as I believe those come pre-installed on 64 bit versions of Windows :)  I'd say it'd still be worth going for the 64 bit version where possible though.
