I need to use my repositorys also with the traditional command line subversion client  Any suggestion waht version of subversion tools I need to be compatible with SmartSVN 8.5    If I use subversion 1.8.8 I get following message.  If it is upgraded the repository will be not usable with SmartSVN anymore
svn update  svn: E155036: Please see the 'svn upgrade' command  svn: E155036: The working copy at '/home/m1k3s/test-repo2'  is too old (format 29) to work with client version '1.8.8 (r1568071)' (expects format 31).  You need to upgrade the working copy first.

 svnadmin --version  svnadmin, version 1.8.8 (r1568071)  compiled Feb 24 2014, 10:11:25 on x86_64-pc-linux-gnu

Hi there,  It's the working copy that needs upgrading, not the repository - you can do that by running svn upgrade before doing the update. You should also be able to do that from within SmartSVN, if you can open the working copy using that?

Hello Matt,  sorry I was not very clear. I need to use the working copy with the subversion command line client and SmartSVN. If I upgrade the working copy with subversion 1.8.8 then SmartSVN can't handle it. My question is, if there is any subversion version compatible with SmartSVN?  Regards

How do you mean, 'can't handle it'? Do you get any error messages, or does SmartSVN just not see a working copy where there should be?  I ask because SmartSVN 8.5 should be compatible with subversion 1.8.8 so if it's not working I suspect some kind of bug somewhere.

It's the working duplicate that needs overhauling, not the vault - you can do that by running svn redesign before doing the overhaul. You ought to additionally have the capacity to do that from inside Smartsvn, on the off chance that you can open the working duplicate utilizing that?
