Yeah, it will be a permanent setting made via the user interface. It may well be possible to configure the underlying tomcat instance in the current implementation, but as you say, it probably wouldn't persist if you did that.   Thanks for your patience on this one.   Ian

I guess updates are also not working for the same reason.  If I go to the Administration tab the notices say that new updates are available, but when I check for updates on the Updates tab I get a message that there are none.    The ubersvn.log says    [18 Nov 2011 12:53:36] INFO (?:?) - Getting updates from: http://update.ubersvn.com/  [18 Nov 2011 12:53:38] INFO (?:?) - Found 0 eligible updates  [18 Nov 2011 12:55:44] INFO (?:?) - Getting updates from: http://update.ubersvn.com/  [18 Nov 2011 12:55:46] INFO (?:?) - Found 0 eligible updates    Getting proxy server settings working is going to be important for most corporate users.
